The English Shetland Sheepdog Club

Training of Judges Scheme

The Club runs a very comprehensive Training of Judges Scheme which meets or exceeds KC recommendations for breed-specific judges training.

Candidates are required to attend a lecture on the Breed Standard and Structure & Movement followed by Hands-on Instruction, arranged by the Club. Lectures are held at various venues throughout the year.

Details of the next Lecture Day can be found here

After fulfilling the requirements for the Club’s B-List, candidates are required to pass an Evaluation at a Breed Club open show or a Hands-on Assessment, arranged by the Club, before promotion to the A-Lists.

The criteria for each of the judging lists can be found here.
